Két kiadvány is
megjelent a tavalyi év végén, amelyeken a Cawatana (valamilyen
formában) közreműködött. Az első egy vendégszereplés a
német/horvát Bleiburg zenekar dupla-cd-jén, amely az angol Cold Spring kiadónál jelent meg Pieces of a Broken
Dream címmel. Itt a
Cawatana a nyitó, Batschka című számban szerepel, citerával,
(sámán)dobbal és magyar szöveggel (a dal első felében),
valamint ütősökkel és énekkel (a dal második felében).
További közreműködők a lemezen (többek között): Larrnakh,
The Soil Bleeds Black, Lonsai Maikov, Aube, Vidna Obmana és
mások
A másik egy válogatás, amit a fehérorosz Stigmata
magazin adott ki, Khatyn - Tacet, Sed Loquitur címmel. Ez a lemez a második
világháború alatt a fehérorosz Khatyn faluban történt
mészárlás áldozatainak állít emléket, és többek között
olyan zenekarok szerepelnek rajta, mint az Ataraxia, a Propergol,
a First Law, a Bad Sector, a Cyclotimia, a Moon Far Away és még
sokan mások.
Valószínűleg ez az utolsó válogatáslemez, amin a Cawatana
részt vett (a közeljövőben várható még egy kiadvány, amin
megjelenik egy korábban felvett, eddig azonban kiadatlan
szerzemény).

Two
new releases have been out at the end of last year, where
Cawatana (in some kind of form) took part. The first one is a
collaboration with the German/Croatian band Bleiburg, on their double cd
released by the English label Cold Spring, called Pieces
of a Broken Dream. Here Cawatana appears on the opening track,
called Batschka, with zither, (shaman) drum and Hungarian voices
(in the first part of the song), as well as percussions and
vocals (in the second part of the song). Other collaborators on
this cd are Larrnakh, The Soil Bleeds Black, Lonsai Maikov, Aube,
Vidna Obmana and others.
The other one is a compilation released by the Belarusian
magazine Stigmata, called Khatyn - Tacet, Sed
Loquitur.
This record is a tribute to the victims of the massacre in the
Belarusian village Khatyn during WWII. The following bands
participated (amongst others): Ataraxia, Propergol, First Law,
Bad Sector, Cyclotimia, Moon Far Away and many others.
Probably this is the last compilation, where Cawatana appeared
(in the near future yet one more compilation can be expected with
an older, but previously unreleased track).

for Wisdom nagylemez után megjelent az első hosszabb,
egybefüggő anyag az argentín Twilight Records kiadásában, Through Silver Shadows címmel, és
a francia Storm of Capricornnal közös cd-n. Ez egy
"speciális" EP, 5 új számot tartalmaz, 5
különböző stílusban, és egyik sem a Cawatana
"saját" stílusában. Egyfajta

years after the album Struggle for Wisdom, the first longer
release is out by the Argentinean label Twilight Records, called Through Silver
Shadows, on a split cd with the French band Storm of Capricorn. It's a
"special" EP, contains 5 new songs, in 5 different
styles, and none of them in Cawatana's "own" style.
Some kind of "Exercices de style (Exercises in Style)".
Or "That's how you write".

részt vett a Cawatana is. Az egyik egy 7"-es kislemez a Fluttering Dragon gondozásában, 63 Days címmel, az olasz Der
Feuerkreiner zenekarral közösen. Ez egy sorozat harmadik
része, ami az 1944-es varsói felkelésnek állít emléket.
A másik egy
válogatás-cd Gloria Victis Vae Victis címmel, a War Office Propaganda kiadásában, a második világháború

In the second half of 2005 two releases were published in Poland,
where Cawatana took part. First one is a 7", released by Fluttering Dragon, called 63 Days. It's
the third part of a series, dedicated to the Warsaw Uprising in
1944. The second one is compilation called Gloria Victis Vae
Victis, released by War
Office Propaganda, to the 60th anniversary of the end of WWII, to
the memories of the victims and survivors. 20 bands appear on
this cd, i.a. Belborn, Karjalan Sissit, Toroidh, Parzival,
Mushroom's Patience, Neutral, HERR, Cold Fusion, Rukkanor and
others.

válogatás, ahol a Cawatana részt vett: az olasz neo-folk.it immár második "kiadványát"

Another
online compilation, where Cawatana takes part: neo-folk.it from Italy published its
second "release", this time it's called Ad Perpetuam
Gloriam. There are 22 bands on it, with previously released
songs, remixes, live-versions and previously unreleased tracks.
Cawatana contributed with the song In your father's eyes,
previously released on the split-CD-box Hermon - Waning and
Exaltations by MozgaloM. Another participators are e.g. Arditi,
Varunna, Foresta di Ferro, Well of Sadness, Storm of Capricorn,
Parzival, Bain Wolfkind and many-many others.

first interview in Hungarian is published in the new issue of the
Hungarian printed magazine Magna. Although this interview
is quite old (it was made almost two years ago), but maybe it's
still actual.

A német webzine, a
Neo-Form.de "megjelentetett" egy online
válogatást, olyan zenekarokkal, amelyek szerepelnek az oldalon,
pl. volt velük interjú, vagy kritika róluk, vagy tagok a
fórumon. Mindegyik felvétel valamilyen módon exkluzív:
koncertverzió, remix, demóverzió, feldolgozás, vagy
kimondottan erre a válogatásra készült dal. Komplett
letölthető borítóval és booklettel (minden zenekarnak egy
külön oldal).
A Cawatana a White című szám 2000-ben készült felvételével
szerepel ezen a válogatáson, ami elég sok ponton különbözik
a később a Struggle for Wisdom cd-n megjelent verziótól (pl.
tartalmaz gitárt és basszusgitárt, más dobhangok, más
szintetizátorhangok, más a női ének).
Többek között az alábbi zenekarok szerepelnek még ezen a

The German
online-magazine and forum Neo-Form.de has „released” an
online compilation. This sampler covers a variety of styles, but
all the artists featured on it, in one way or the other, have got
something to do with the website. They were interviewed, there
was a review about their work on Neo-Form.de or they've got an
account for the forum themselves. All the material on this
compilation is exclusive in this form. The requirements were to
submit something "special", like a live-track, a
cover-tune, a remix, a demo-version or an exclusive song. Also
all the projects were asked to submit a picture or graphic design
for the online gallery to accompany this release.
Cawatana contributed to this complation with the song White,
recorded in 2000, which differs from the version appears later on
the cd Struggle for Wisdom in many ways (for example it contains
guitars and bass, different drum- and keyboard-sounds, another
female-vocalist).
The following bands participate in this compilation: Belborn,
HERR, Von Thronstahl, Rose Rovine E Amanti, Volksweerbaarheid and

egyéves születésnapjára jelent meg a lemez, ami szintén
ajánlva van Michael Moynihan és Annabel Lee kisfiának, aki
ugyanaz nap, csak 9 órával később született, valamint
Stephan Pockrandt kislányának, aki három héttel előttük
született. Közreműködnek a Steinklang-család barátai, a
Cawatanán kívül: Allerseelen, Belborn, Graumahd, Sturmpercht,
Derniere Volonte, A Challange of Honour, Werkraum, Stahlwerk 9,

double compilation-cd was released by the Austrian Steinklang Records, called Mia Runa. Mia
Runa is the name of Max and Katja's (leaders of the label)
daughter, this cd was released for her first birthday, and
dedicated also Michael Moynihan and Annabel Lee's son, who was
born on the same day, but 9 hours later, and Stephan Pockrandt's
daughter, who was born 3 weeks before. The songs were recorded
especially for this occasion by friends of the Steinklang-family,
for example: Cawatana, Allerseelen, Belborn, Graumahd,
Sturmpercht, Derniere Volonte, A Challange of Honour, Werkraum,
Stahlwerk 9, Gegentum and many others. Cawatana contributed with
a little piano-piece (with Hungarian lyrics).

called Penumbra over Beauty. It contains various
neofolk/neoclassical/dark-ambient/etc. bands from Europe, America
and Asia, with previously unreleased tracks, among others:

Mivel az elmúlt
három-négy hónapban a zenekar honlapja nem volt elérhető,
egy kis összefoglaló az utolsó bejegyzés óta
történtekről:
A júliusra tervezett ausztriai VAWS-fesztivál különböző
okok miatt elmaradt.
Július 31-én a Cawatana a Lux Interna és az Allerseelen
társaságában fellépett a németországi Oberhausenben. A
helyszín a Burg Vordern volt, annak is a várudvara. Mivel ez
egy szabadtéri rendezvény volt, ezért 22 óráig be kellett
fejezni a koncertet, így a Cawatana, (hogy legyen idő a többi
zenekarra is), egy rövid, "különleges" koncertet
adott, 5-6 dal, kb. 20 percben, gépek és billentyűk nélkül
(megspórolva a beállást), egy akusztikus gitár,
basszusgitár, dob, ének.
Augusztus 28-án a litván Menou Juodaragis fesztiválon lépett fel a Cawatana,
többek között az Allerseelen, a Sui Generis Umbra és a
Külgrinda társaságaban.

As
our homepage was not available in the last 3-4 months, here is a
little overview about the happenings of this time:
VAWS festival (planned for July in Austria) was cancelled,
because of various reasons.
On 31th of July Cawatana performed in Oberhausen, Germany. The
location was Burg Vordern, the courtyard of the castle. As it was
an oper-air event, the concerts must be finished till 10 o'clock
in the evening, so the Cawatana played a short,
"special" set, 5-6 songs, about 20 minutes, without
machines and keyboard (to gain the time of soundcheck), one
acoustic guitar, bass guitar, drums, vocals.
On 28th of August Cawatana played at Menou Juodaragis festival,
amongst others with Allerseelen, Sui Generis Umbra and
Külgrinda.

A 4.
Vaws-fesztivál időpontja változott, egy másik rendezvénnyel
való ütközés miatt júliusra halasztották. Az új dátum:

April there’ll be two Cawatana-concerts, one of them in
Budapest, on a festival called „Unicornis 2004”, organized by
our friends at Negative Art. The date is 17-18. April 2004, in
the theatre-hall of the Ferencvarosi Centre of Culture. On the
first day will appear Kinovia (Serbia), Cawatana, Penitent
(Norway), Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio (Sweden), In Slaughter Natives
(Sweden). Line up of the second day: Scivias (Hungary), Novo Homo
(England), Deutsch Nepal (Sweden), Der Blutharsch (Austria). Plus
exhibitions, after parties in the Marco Polo Club, stand of Last
Exit record-shop, and many others. Daily ticket costs about 10
Euro. If someone buys a 2-day-ticket, gets a
gothic-neofolk-industrial magazine, called Magna for free, free
entrance to the parties in Marco Polo, and other present. More

The week after, in a castle in Austria, Vaws will organize their
4th festival, under the name of „Heiliges Österreich”. It
will be a 3-day-festival (23-25 April), many bands will perform,
amongst others: Von Thronstahl, Boyd Rice, The Days of the
Trumpet Call, Allerseelen, Belborn, Rose Rovine e Amanti, and
many others, as well as Cawatana, who will play an almost
completely different programme, than in Budapest a week before.

Farewell kiadó megjelentet egy tribute-albumot "The Bells
Shall Sound Forever" címmel a Current 93 tiszteletére.
Ezen 15 zenekar dolgoz fel egy-egy C93-dalt, a Cawatana az
"A song for Douglas after he's dead"-et választotta a
"Thunder Perfect Mind" lemezről, és játssza a saját
stílusában, de "közel az eredeti esszenciájához".

A Cawatana 2003. június 7-én fellép a Wave-Gotik-Treffenen, Lipcsében (Németország), a Haus
Leipzig nevezetű helyszínen, egy viszonylag speciális
műsorral, melyben az eddigieknél több vendégzenész fog
részt venni.
2003 őszére várható a Wir Rufen Deine Wölfe című
válogatáslemez az osztrák Ahnstern kiadó gondozásában dupla lp-n, majd cd-n az Aorta-nal. Előreláthatólag a Cawatana is részt vesz
ebben a vállalkozásban, mely a fent említett Friedrich
Hielscher vers megzenésítésére alakult.
További tervezet résztvevők (többek között): Allerseelen,
Blood Axis, Belborn, Lady Morphia, Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio,
Waldteufel, stb.
A Cawatana dal egy kicsit más irányú lesz, mint amit eddig a
zenekartól megszokhattunk.

The first Cawatana album, called "Struggle for wisdom",
released by Eis&Licht Verlag, Germany will be out on the 6th
of June, 2003. More info here, and on this site (of
course).
Cawatana will perform at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig, Germany, on
the 7th of June, 2003, at the place called Haus Leipzig, with a
relatively special programme, containing more guest musician as
before.
In autumn 2003 will be published the compilation "Wir Rufen
Deine Wölfe" on the Austrian label Ahnstern as a double LP, then on
CD on the Aorta label. Probably Cawatana
will also participate in this project, which based on a poem by
Friedrich Hielscher. Another planned contributions by
(amongst others): Allerseelen, Blood Axis, Belborn, Lady Morphia,
Ordo Rosarius Equilibrio, Waldteufel, etc.
The Cawatana song will differ a little from that we can expect
from the band.
